124 HOW TO RIDE THE MOTORCYCLE

Olf you want to accelerate temporarily,
accelerate with normal throttle appli-
cation. In this case, to return to the
set speed, release the throttle with-
out using the front and rear brakes.

To cancel the set speed

e The set speed is disengaged tem-
porarily under the following condi-
tions:

OWhen pulling the brake lever.

OWhen stepping on the brake pedal.

OWhen pulling the clutch lever.

OWhen shifting gears.

OWhen closing the throttle grip beyond
the closed position.

e The cruise control is stopped under
the following conditions and the set
speed is erased and it cannot be re-
sumed:

O When the vehicle speed drops below
35 km/h (22 mph).

OWhen the vehicle speed drops 15 km
/h (9 mph) from the set speed.

OWhen pushing the cruise control but-
ton( ® ).

e The cruise control set indicator goes
off.

To resume the set speed
e Push the RES/+ button.

NOTE

O When the RES/+ or SET/- button
pushed during resume set speed, {/
set speed is renewed to the curre
vehicle speed.

e When the vehicle speed reaches
the set speed, the cruise control s:
indicator appears again.

To deactivate the cruise control
e Push the cruise control button ( ® )
