Accelerator Position Sensor (Service Code 18) (DTC P2120, P2121, P2123,
P2125, P2128)
Accelerator Position Sensor Removal
                          NOTICE
Do not disassemble the accelerator position sensor
[A] since it has been adjusted and set with precision
    at the factory.

Accelerator Position Sensor Input Voltage
Inspection
                             NOTE
○Be sure the battery is fully charged.
• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Right Side Cover (see Side Cover Removal(15-23))
  Remove:

     Bolt [A]
• Remove the bracket [B] from the frame.
• Disconnect:
     Accelerator Position Sensor Connector [C]

• Connect the suitable measuring leads [A] to the acceler-
ator position sensor connectors as shown.
      Main Harness [B]
      Accelerator Position Sensor [C]
• Connect a digital meter [D] to the suitable measuring
    leads.
    Accelerator Position Sensor Input Voltage
      Connections to Adapters:
       (1) Digital Meter (+) → Sensor W/R lead
           Digital Meter (–) → Sensor W/BK lead
       (2) Digital Meter (+) → Sensor Y/R lead
           Digital Meter (+) → Sensor Y/BK lead

• Measure the input voltage with the engine stopped and
  with the connector joined.
• Turn the ignition switch on.
    Input Voltage
      Standard: DC 4.75  5.25 V

• Turn the ignition switch off.
If the reading is within the standard, check the output volt-
age (see Accelerator Position Sensor Output Voltage In-
    spection(17-39)).
