SELF-DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM 17-59
Blank Key Detection (Service Code 36, Equipped Models) (DTC P1508)

•○This code appears in the following conditions.
  The transponder [A] in the ignition key is malfunction.
○When the spare key of unregistration is used.
○When the ignition key is registered in the registered ECU.
• Therefore, the service code 36 will disappear when the
  above issue is solved.

Ignition Key Inspection
• Register  the ignition key correctly (see Key Registra-
  tion(16-89)).
 If the service code 36 appears again, the transponder in
 the key is malfunction, replace it.
