5-46 ENGINE TOP END
Muffler

• Install the muffler cover [A] and tighten the muffler cover
  bolts [B].
    Torque - Muffler Cover Bolts: 8.0 N·m (0.82 kgf·m, 71 in·lb)

Exhaust Pipe Removal
• Remove:
   Muffler Body (see Muffler Body Removal)
     Oxygen Sensor (see Oxygen Sensor Removal in the
     Electrical System chapter)
•   Support the premuffler chamber with the suitable stand
    [A].
•   Remove the premuffler chamber mounting bolt [B].

• Remove:
   Exhaust Pipe Holder Nuts [A]
     Exhaust Pipe (Premuffler Chamber) [B]

Exhaust Pipe Installation
• Ifinstall
      the premuffler chamber cover [A] has been removed,
            it and tighten the bolts.
    Torque - Premuffler Chamber Cover Bolts (L = 8 mm) [B]:
                10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 89 in·lb)
             Premuffler Chamber Cover Bolt (L = 14 mm) [C]:
                8.0 N·m (0.82 kgf·m, 71 in·lb)
